Food for thought‘[...] do not think that good design can make a poor product good, whether the product be a machine, a building, a promotional brochure or a business man. But [...] good design can materially help make a good product reach its full potential. In short, [...] good design is good business.’

Brandient 101 Romanian Identities

March 22, 2010, 11:59 AM

Brandient — the leading branding and design company in Romania, one of the most awarded in Eastern Europe and the one I’ve had the pleasure to be part of for the last 3 years — celebrates a wonderful milestone: over 100 brands and identities, developed over the last eight years. To honour this event, an exhibition will be held at Carturesti Verona in Bucharest (sub_Carturesti coffee shop). The opening event will take place on 26 march, at 5.00 PM, when Brandient’s designers will share their experiences during the “Brandient 101 minutes about design” talk. For more info, you can read the official press release.

The exhibition will be open from 26 march till 7 april. We’re preparing another surprise, so stay tuned.

Wouldn’t it be nice to take the exhibition to Cluj-Napoca after that?

It would be indeed, but I don’t know who could take care of that, time is killing us as always :)

Good luck!
That’s a great event and I’m sure it’s having an emotional meaning also… :) Have fun and let it flow!
Btw great visual! Who’s the author?
All the best! And congratulation to you and to the Brandient Team! What a ride? Soooo what’s next?

Thanks, it really is very important, and not only because it’s a major event for us at Brandient, it’s also the first of this kind in Romania. The poster’s idea belongs to Bogdan Dumitrache.

The next thing will be announced very soon, so keep in touch till then :)

Wow, I’m smitten – what fonts are those in the poster, especially the header area? Looks like some type of Clarendon and some type of Didot? And what is the 101? This is lovely…

Both the header and the 101 logo is set in Filosofia (the title is set in Filosofia Grande, Brandient in SC). We use it as our company’s typeface, it has a lot of style and personality, but it’s rarely easy to work with. Body is usually in Officina, but we used Lucida for the web version.

I’m glad you like the poster. The exhibition is awesomer, though :)
